Seksualność jest tematem pasjonującym, popularnym, odwiecznym oraz wielowarstwowym. Dr Andrzej Depko polecił nam „Encyklopedie wiedzy Seksualnej”, z 1923 roku napisaną przez Dr. Maxa Marcuse, niemieckiego lekarza, który podsumował ją analizując przeróżne zagadnienia typu tatuaż, taniec, ekshibicjonizm, przesąd, religia itp. Czy cos się zmieniło od czasów naszych pierwotnych przodków do nowoczesności musicie ocenić sami. Skomentowaliśmy prawie 100-letnie teksty nowoczesnymi art technikami: dizajn, grafika, ilustracja, rzeźba, zdjęcia, film, performens. Nie mamy zamiaru Was szokować, bo to zrobili już dawno inni. Do współpracy zaprosiliśmy artystów z Polski i Katalonii.
Otwarcie Pleasure Poster Magazine; Sex Issue miało miejsce 4 listopada 2011 w Galerii DAP w Domu Artysty Plastyka w Warszawie. Podczas wernisażu odbył się premierowy pokaz filmu Pleasure Poster Magazine: „Dance”. Na otwarciu znalazła się również instalacja „Gun” / silikon, drewno sosnowe /. Hawajski taniec płodności Hula wykonał zespół Uakoko.

Sexuality has always been an exciting subject which could never be fully explored despite having been tackled by innumerable artists. We decided to make a contribution, too. The Pleasure Poster Magazine: Sex Issue, presented on November 4, 2011 at an exhibition in DAP Gallery, Warsaw, is largely inspired by the “Encyclopedia of Sexology” by Ph.D. Max Marcuse from 1923. This amazing book, recommended to us by a famous Warsaw sexologist Ph.D. Andrzej Depko, analyses sexuality in its various manifestations, e.g. in religion, dance, exhibitionism, tattoo, superstition, etc., and, despite being almost a hundred years old, appears surprisingly accurate nowadays.
The PPM: Sex Issue hasn’t been intended to shock; it seems hardly possible today. It should rather be perceived as our personal commentary to the subject and Marcuse’s texts. The issue consists of 12 spreads in the form of posters featuring graphics, photography, sculpture, film, illustration, etc. The project was prepared in cooperation with several Polish and Catalan artists.
During the exhibition guests could also watch the PPM’s film entitled “Dance” and a live performance of a Hawaii fertility dance by Uakoko group, and contemplate an installation: Gun / silicone, wood/.
